How to know the quality of the bentonites?

Mineral quality can be determined in different quick tests for purity, grid, mesh size, viscosity, methylene blue, swelling, water absorption, and cation exchange capacity.

What is the recommended method to apply bentonite for a pond liner?

There are different Sealing pond methods if your pond is dry use the mix blanket method or pure bentonite liner blanket and if your pond has water and fish use the sprinkle method.

We recommend to apply bentonite and creat a nice even liner with the amount of bentonite needed for your type of soil and then just disc it or till it, plow it with the soil only about 2`3 inches from the ground and after that just compact.

Can Bentonite be used as a binding agent? 

Yes. mainly for steel casting and foundries.

Is Bentonite used for pond liner? 

Yes, it works exceptionally for this application and is a natural mineral that will not harm the animals, fish, and plants (wildlife)

Is Bentonite used in Construction?

Yes, for excavation and foundation work mainly for the ability to swell and gel when dispersed in water.

What exactly is bentonite mineral?

Consisting mainly of smectite minerals, usually montmorillonite  Bentonite is a volcanic ash.

Is Bentonite a Hazardous material?

No, It is inorganic non-toxic, non-irritating. It is not considered hazardous on skin contact.

How to Mesure your Pond?

It is very important to know your pond size so you don’t waste money and you treat using enough pond sealant bentonite for your type of soil and pond size.

you multiply your deepest point x 2 and add the result to your length and width.

example: deepest point is 10 ft. (Multiply times two) = 10 x 2 = 20 ft

Length: 100 ft. and add your result from deepest point formula: 100 + 20 = 120 ft.

Width: 150 ft. and add your result from deepest point formula: 150 + 20 = 170 ft.

Total Pond size: 120 x 170 = 20,400 sqft.

other examples: 1.3  acre looks like a football fiels, .06 acres is a tennis court, .89 acres is a baseball field.
