While the application of bentonite clay for ponds is not difficult, it definitely needs to be done with a lot of attention. The bentonite needs to be evenly spread and compacted. Sometimes, when the depth of the pond or the purpose are very specific, there needs to be more bentonite per square foot or there needs to be a thicker soil cover.
If you prefer to DIY, just make sure you know the right amount of bentonite clay for ponds and to have the right equipment at hand. At Lonestar Minerals, we will always be willing to support you with a free consult, if you get stuck or have any questions about the process. Our goal is for you to enjoy a full pond or lake!
To find out the approximate amount of bentonite you require to seal your pond, enter your pond measurements, deepest point, and soil condition.
